I'm sorry, I didn't have enough time to understand the game and post a comment earlier, but I've finally been able to spend a long moment on your project. It was hard to get into it for me, but then I really had a good time! The concept is nice and interesting. Imo it's a very good submission for a Jam and you can be proud of it!
The puzzle was very interesting, but i think it should include some easier levels to gradually introduce the player to the concept.
I love the encouraging cat!
I struggled to understand it at first, but this is a very interesting puzzle! I find this kind of puzzle very frustrating, and I wasn't able to finish (I managed to place all but 2 tiles), but that is my fault and not the puzzle. I did find it a bit hard to place the tiles where I wanted them due to the semi 3D effect, but I thought the graphics style was very nice! My favorite part is the cute cat voice and it's wise words of encouragement.
Overall, a very nice little puzzle, well done!
I agree with Yazorius, it's not easy at first but as you play, everything makes sense.
I don't like these kind of games, but I still found it interesting to play it a bit and see what you had done with the theme.
Really great job! 👏
Yeah! Solved!
It's not easy to understand all the numerous rules at first. But in the end, it is very logical. I had to try myself, to understand a few elements before going back to read the rules which were much clearer afterwards. Not being able to exceed the required number of each number eluded me at first, as well as having to use all the tiles. But as soon as understood, it was a pleasure to find the ideal order, and to validate it to open the drawer ^_^ Congratulations for this game which must have asked a lot in recognition of tile layout in order to write the right message of error every time. Very smart puzzle and ... mysterious ^_^ And I loved the cat sounds ! Miaou !
Hi Jazorius,
Thanks for the feedback!
I’ll try and arrange for a French translation of the rules. Unfortunately, despite my last name, I’m not a native French speaker, so it won’t be that easy. Let’s see what deepl will make of it.
BTW, the game is randomly generated. If you start it again, you’ll get all new tokens that need to be stacked all differently. But I only had the time to make one drawer, so the drawer content will be the same each time you win. :-)
The cat, that’s just me, pitched up an octave or two.
If you’re about to throw the towel then click on Kitty for a little pep talk. :)
The token tops might look in contrast to their surroundings as if they were white, but they aren’t. In keeping with the green/yellow theme, I’ve given them a cream colour (thus a yellowish hue).
