Fun spin on the top down shooter, that revolving magazine is a great mechanics to expand on!
Now it was the wrong jam for that idea, but the idea is good nonetheless. One thing I would complain is we need to see which bullet is going to get shot next and where the one you pickup goes.
Overall a good concept, there's definitely something to keep building on here.
Side note, try to make a web build for your next jam as people usually don't chance installing stuff on their computer.
I agree with everything on your main comment.
On the web matter though, this was made with pygame, which actually can run on the web but it does so very slow (outdated tech). Im learning godot right now and though I see your point, I still think pygame is good, despite performance limitations and no web support.
Also really appreciate the feedback, thanks!
This game was very entertaining. Doesn't match the theme but I assume you know that. I think the UI could be improved. Highlighting which bullet will be fired next, enemy health bars, etc. It feels like enemy speed could be lowered a bit as well. It's hard to tell when an enemy will attack. Some sort of telegraphing animation would make it feel more fair. Overall, fun game. Keep up the good work.
Yea I know it doesnt follow the theme, at first I was gonna do a tower kinda thing, going up the floors, but couldnt manage. I agree with everything you point out, some I even had planned and didnt get to it, though highlighting the bullet about to be shot is a huge oversight. Thanks for playing, glad you liked it!
This one was really fun, but took a bit of figuring out. I think if you included a controls screen it would've helped a little, but outside of that, good work :)
Sorry, I really thought of showing a keyboard scheme with controls in the menu, but didnt have the time before the jam ended, The controls are on the game´s page though.
Ohh that might just be on me then, I downloaded the game straight from the submission page without seeing the actual itch.io page, sorry! Again, good work :)
No worries, ideally I would have them on the game menu but I see how you missed them, also thanks!
