No worries, I feel awful whenever I find out someone can’t play a game I made :( I tried downloading another zip file and still nothing, then for posterity restarted my computer, tried autohotkey to rule out the potential it had anything to do with my keyboard, and still nothing. About to be busy with D&D for the evening, but I’m happy to try other things or send a log if there’s more I can do to help.

Thank you for the feedback! It might be just due to our inexperience as we're still new to game development, but we'll try to check if there are any fixes to this issue, and we will update the game file when the game jam finished. Currently we're using the new input system of Unity and that might be the issue, but we'll do our best. I'm also currently building the game based on windows and it might be also due to that. If you have any advice or tips, we're happy to check it out. Thank you once again.

Hm, I haven’t used Unity in a while and don’t recall the new input system (should just be the input system at this point, it’s been years lol) having any weird bugs like that. I’m also on windows, so I don’t think that would cause issues, but it is Windows 10? Kind of a shot in the dark, but are P/Escape to pause on like a different InputActionMap than the movement controls? Perhaps only one is getting initialized properly. Why that’d be an issue for me and not others though is just bizarre.

I did try it out on my laptop and it ran fine! D: i liked the music, art and animation are good (I was going to use the same tileset for one of my levels before running way out of time haha). It seemed like inputting a direction after jumping would cut out the maximum height you could reach or something? It was confusing but i still managed to make it to the end. Didn’t really make use of the slow down ability at all but I can see how it might have some use. As gorgeous as the character art is I felt like some of the held frames while jumping could’ve used another frame to alternate between to keep the really great flowing hair and clothing from the idle animation, but I imagine that’s largely a time thing than an intention thing. It also doesn’t feel like her movespeed matches the energy with which she runs animation wise, kinda giving the effect that she’s running in a weird slow motion which then causes the game to feel like it’s “slow” even though I don’t think it actually is.

No idea why I had technical issues, but I’m glad I took the time to persevere and play through this, y’all did a great job overall :)

Thank you for the feedback once again! We also fixed those issues you mentioned but was unable to submit it on time. You are technical and in a good way. Having to learn while making games is my way of doing things, and listening to feedback makes things easier because we can fix what we usually don't encounter when testing the game. Thank you once again.
