Here are some few things to do to make your game visible:

  1. Build and stay engaged in the community. This can help other people notice you and your work. Being an active community member can also help you discover interesting perspectives and engage with other game dev.
  2. Promote your game through social media like Facebook or youtube. Itch offers a release announcement thread to let others find your newly released project. One thing to note is to value other people's time. People won't appreciate link dumping. Good posts will have content that will engage and interest other people.
  3. Be consistent and post devlogs. This can help create a good community for your game even before release and also creates a space for you to share your progress.
  4. Have good looking itch page and thumbnail. First impression is the best impression. Put some effort into the game pages and thumbnails. This can help hook potential players and increase ctr. Make it something that stands out amongst thousands of other games.
  5. Join game jams. These are wholesome experiences and can also help your game get a quick boost of views upon release.

Overall, these are my personal opinions. There are lots of other ways to market and promote your games. Se what suits you. Have fun developing.
