thanks for playing. This is a common piece of feedback I've given to other jam games as well where the game is essentially over if you die. I've tried to balance that by making the levels not too hard to do, and also not having too many of them to get through, so hopefully it doesn't feel like a slog. I was thinking about putting a 'speed run' time counter in there but I literally had that thought 10 minutes before the submission deadline so maybe next time :) For a bigger game I think at the moment my preference will be to have some kind of room/level selector where you can go to the last room you were on.
