I'm not very good at platforming in general, and arguably even worse when it's in a 3D space, so take my comments with a grain of salt. The shift mechanic took me a minute to figure out and I still don't feel like I am using it quite right. I didn't get to see the tip for it, and I suspect it's because I stepped on the lighted platform for it before the opening text was finished. I tried stepping on it again, but never got a tip for it. As for the lighted platforms providing tips, I think they're a bit too slow paced for a game that seems like it wants to go fast.
I got stuck super early, when there are the 3 gates you have to open, but that's almost certainly on my lack of skills rather than the design itself. Thought the platforming didn't feel as intuitive or smooth as I would like, I absolutely love the look of the game, it's really giving me Paradise Killer vibes (which I think is a very good thing) for some reason. My only concern with the design was that the text can be somewhat hard to read, as it was very pixelated on my screen at least (2560x1440 if that helps). Honestly, even with my concerns it seems like you have something solid here.
I couldn't figure out how this relates to the jam, but I'm assuming that's just because I was unable to progress adequately. I may give this another try later, as I'd like to see more of what the game has to offer, if my skills will allow it.
