HI

Im using the Meta Quest 3. Ive got  version 9.5.3 installed.

In video capture settings, how can I get  Capture definition (720P 1024P 1080P 1440P 2160P) and capture format (Square, Landscape, Portait) showing, as in version 9.2.1.

Im trying to capture in normal landscape mode in version  9.5.3 using different configurations, but video comes out weird. For example, I tried the standard 16:9 1920x1080 format, but looks squished. Format 1:1 looks better but format is 4:3 so there is alot of black

Is it possible to enter custom capture format?

Also how do you upgrade when a new version is released, Do you have to uninstall and then download and install new version?

Thanks

Hello, in the QGO video recording page, you can choose the one of the resolution I propose in the capture format section. The 16:9 format crop the image and this is normal. For 1:1 is a square, this is not 4:3. Not possible to enter custom format atm as I already propose common formats such as 1:1, 16:9, 9:16, 2:1.

But if I misunderstood, please provide me screenshots ;-)

To update the app, you just have to click the update button when it is showed. The last one is v9.5.3, but a v10 is coming soon ;)

whats the best format to capture the most of what we see?

It depends. 2:1 and side by side is very nice, but as 16:9 crop the image, some prefer the 1:1 but 16:9 is nice to see. So I don't know haha

Thanks for the reply

So with 16:9 it will crop the video whatever resolution you use?  You cant turn off the cropping by QGO when recording in 16:9?

Ideally I want to be able to enter/use  the below settings which I believe will provide the best results:

-adb shell setprop debug.oculus.screenCaptureEye 2

-adb shell setprop debug.oculus.capture.width 3840

-adb shell setprop debug.oculus.capture.height 1920

-adb shell setprop debug.oculus.fullRateCapture 0

-adb shell setprop debug.oculus.capture.bitrate 40000000

Thanks

To achieve that, just select capture Side By Side and the 3840x1920, full bitrate and full rate in QGO ;-)
