Preproduction art is stuff like new busts, new sprites, new maps, pixel art assets stuff like that. Preproduction code is like adding in those new maps to the engine and figuring out new mini games and stuff, preproduction code isn't a lot usually.

Production art is all the scene art, production code is coding in all the dialogue, busts, and story variables, stuff like that

I see, I feel like to understand this better I'm gonna need a further break down of these terms like busts (I'm guessing, they don't mean boobs). I can already see you turning this into a text book chapter 😆
