The writing quality was very good, each character was distinct and had a lot of clear personality and passion put into each of them. I'm sorry to say I didn't finish the full story, as I was streaming my playthrough of several submissions and ended up playing this game for just about half an hour. I would have re-played it to see the short game, but I had already spent a bit too much time on it.
In terms of boredom, I wouldn't call it boring at all if the player is willing to do a lot of reading. Choosing the right tea seems to require a decent amount of puzzle-solving, which is plenty enough for gameplay. The full story IS a very large undertaking, but I think it's a perfectly good, casual, de-stressing kind of game if the player's not too busy.
