I personally love N64 soundtracks - they were what originally got me interested in video game composition - and this definitely has the N64 feel down to a T! I like the bass vamp back and forth using the chromatic mediant giving a sense of motion without true resolution. The bell sounds certainly add a snowy feel, but the percussion was an interesting and unique element that I thought evoked an exotic almost barren feel that was unique from many of the other entries (made me think of music like Hazy Maze Cave from Super Mario 64 for example). It’s almost like this is the theme that you would hear in Phendrana Drifts if there weren’t any alien enemies around and if you were able to just explore the area without worrying about danger.
