This android situation bothers me too.
Right now, I'm the only one in the team with a small technical background to implement/maintain the whole download/update process/infrastructure.
Android being Android, it needs specific process.
Without the android downloader, we will have to drop android support.
Right now, I still have random issues with the download process.
Until I fix the download process, I can't switch to the ingame update process.
I'm alone in this mess and I'm doing my best.
Sorry if I'm not fast enough.
I didn't know that detail, brother, take your time, it can be frustrating that as Android users we have certain problems and of course this is our right as consumers to feel disgusted by the product we have purchased, but as people we must be understandable and with this problem, just like you say, it seems very stressful to me, take your time to fix the problems, a job well done is better than a job half done because it was done in a hurry, good luck with that brother
