This game is a proof that a mechanic can be very simple (just moving around), while still having depth and being entertaining. The game itself is short, but it’s sweet, and it offers a decent challenge in the latter levels. Not too hard, but with enough difficulty to keep you using your brain.
The levels in general are simple in their layout and each one contains only a few types of elements (the same for all), but the way those elements are combined and how they’re placed keeps the game interesting from the beginning to the end. Besides that, the music is a good fit and the graphics are simple but quite nice.
If I have to mention something negative, I’d say that I’m not sure if I like the fact that the characters keep moving a bit after releasing the button (or that the metal boxes also keep sliding a little after you’ve stopped pushing them). I feel like this feature would have the potential to become a bit frustrating if there were harder levels where the moves of the characters had to be thought out a lot more carefully. But that’s not the case here, so it doesn’t matter much. It was just a thought.
So overall, very nice game. =)
