Thanks for playing and for the feedback Moriko!
This was a just a small experimental project to test out some palette limitations and different map perspectives (this was a really fun to make, instead of the typical top down view and standard use of tilesets), and initially it was going to be just one chapter with a creepy ending, but then we came up with the idea of making it into something bigger with monthly chapters. The story and universe will get even bigger and crazier, and there might be material for 3 more chapters.
Chapter 1 was going to end with the revelation of what's in the attic, but ending it just before finding the secret is a better cliffhanger.
The reason why at first Julia doesn't acknowledge the changes around, is because she's been going through this so many times, that her brain normalizes most weird stuff now. While she still reacts to some events and characters (and she retains some emotions), she's a bit dead inside. Although this also relates to the attic, so things might be a bit more clear in Chapter 2
