Viewing post in Game Download Issues

I'm not sure whether the alternate download works for the windows zip file. I did enable it and clicked download but it didn't start downloading, unlike when the alternate download setting is off and it begins the download but fails to install it.

I'm confused and not sure what else to do.

I'm sorry you're having a hard time with it.

Unfortunately I'm not sure what else to suggest either. I test-downloaded the file and it works fine, just to be sure. At this point, I have to assume it's an issue outside my ability to fix whether it is with Itch or your internet provider.

I'm really sorry I'm unable to identify or repair the download issue.

Myriss, are you downloading via the itch.io app or directly from the website? Because for the life of me I could not get the mac file to download from inside the app, but I WAS able to when I went to the website directly. That might be something to try?

Edit to add: I didn't realize this post was so old, sorry! But if anyone is having issues with the updated release, that is what worked for me today, Oct 20.

I've never used the app, I tried downloading from the website.

(It's alright, even though it's old I still haven't found a solution yet)

I'm sorry I wasn't able to help! I wonder if your virus software is stopping the download because it doesn't recognize itch.io as a safe site. You could try whitelisting it in your virus protection software, if you felt comfortable doing that? I'm sorry you're still having issues!
