Hi there, thanks for trying out our prototype!

Yes it's normally supposed to be played with an Xbox or PS4 controller, the keyboard controls are locked for a french keyboard (so instead of WASD, it's ZQSD).

Otherwise some important mechanics are :

1. You can lifeleech dead enemies or prayers (to regain health (the little circle feedback appears when you can))

2. To break the door at the end, you have to use your special attacks (you did one at the beginning of your video not on purpose), but they remove a part of your health once used

3. You can't jump

Sorry that it wasn't clear enough, but thanks again for trying!

I was using an Xbox controller and it didn't work. I'll give your game another shot. Overall the game looks amazing. Keep up the great work.

Thanks a lot!

It was originally created by Joris Sanchez, a student in Game Art at my school, and I joined the project during the end of the last year of our studies, and it became our end of degree group project.

Normally an Xbox Controller works, if it doesn't, try unplugging and reconnecting it once you're in game (after the menu).

I wasn't the main programmer for the game, so I don't know exactly why the controller doesn't work..

But anyhow, thanks for playing our game and for the compliments!

One of the reasons it might be doing this is the startup dialog it could be giving the controller the wrong signal and causing it to stop working had to use GloSC to play your game although I do just recommend switching engines.

Hi, the reason why it does not work is because this version of the game is set to keyboard by default.

You have to press "O" to switch the input mode to controller and play with your xbox controller.

Yeah, it's not intuitive, that's because it is a developper key, this version of the game was intented to be played in our own stand at a convention, where the game was correctly configurated and where developpers were around the players to check if everything works fine.

Thank you for playing anyway :)

Got it.
