I don't wanna be That Guy, but why do you frame it as a "SNES game" when it looks like every single PSX game? Like SNES was not known for its 3D games exactly...

A version of Doom was released for the Super Nintendo. This project emulates pretty much precisely the limits of what the SNES was capable of rendering as pseudo-3d graphics.

I don't know what PSX games you've seen, but even the worst of its first generation of games looked substantially more advanced than this.

Doom looked significantly worse than this, though. It was very low resolution and ran pretty slowly. There's SuperFX chip, but most SuperFX games used mostly untextured polygons with very limited textures. If this game would be possible on SNES, it would definitely run at much worse framerate and lower resolution.

Also I would say a bunch of games of e.g. Sega Saturn looked almost exactly like this game. I wouldn't say it looks *that* different from some early PSX dungeon crawlers, like e..g Crime Crackers.

"Ummmm actually..."   you right now.
