Yeahh, one unfortunate thing about these kinda games is there aren't all that many devs who have the money to commission their own music, so we tend to use a lot of the same royalty free music as other devs, or even youtubers. I can't say I'm familiar with down the rabbit hole or which track you're talking about, but almost all of the music I use is kevin macleod stuff. With him being perhaps the most popular royalty free composer, it definitely won't be uncommon to find music from these kinds of games included in many other things.

It's, uh, hmm. Spy Glass by Kevin Mcleod, yeah.
It's not a complaint, for sure, I totally get it. I've done the same thing in the past.
It's just funny to be playing a fun AVN and hear the same music I first heard in a video about one of the most famous 'evil devs on steam' ahaha. Call it a cognitive dissonance XD

I get the exact same thing when I watch a youtube video and I hear any of these tracks xD

For a brief moment I'm like "HEY WAIT A MINUTE! THAT'S MY-"
And then I remember that it's royalty free music and errrr, yeah...

For real though, Kevin Macleod is in my opinion one of the most important composers in recent history. I really hope he's getting the recognition he deserves financially. There are so many things which either wouldn't exist, or would be worse without what he does. Thanks Kevin.

I hate to even mention it, but I will anyways. Free services like suno.com will let you make ai music tracks and they even have instrumental only options.

I know a lot of people are loathe to see any ai anywhere, but I think this somewhere it might really shine.
