I don't know if I'm very bad or what but combat feels brutal in the game, mainly because of the mana costs of spells and enemy damage (especially biters).

Also are you sure fire damage are counted correctly?

Besides that, the graphics are really good, you absolutely grasped the aesthetics of games like undertale/everhood. The absence of sfx doesn't play in your favor when trying to emulate musical game such as these

During my initial testing of the game I think fire damage was handled correctly, and the combat is meant to be pretty challenging.
Also about the sfx stuff, i completely agree that the lack of music/sfx does harm the game, we did work on an OST and sound effects but we thought that the music we made did not fit with the theme of the game and could hurt it even more.

Thank you very much for the feedback!
After the voting period ends for this jam, I might create a new OST and add sound effects.

You're not bad at the game, it just takes some getting used to. I also spent more time fighting the first set of enemies in the forest than anything else in the game, it can take a while to get used to the attack patterns. For the Biter surround attack, aim to do circles sticking to the edge of the arena and constantly move in a large circle. At least that's what worked for me.
