Out of curiosity, has anyone tried running this on a Steam Deck?

(1 edit)

I asked on my discord and apparently it works well on a steam deck with windows installed, but not one using steam OS.

EDIT: The .sh file may work using steamos!

Thank you for the speedy reply! This game looks really interesting but my Steam deck is my only means of pc gaming, so that is a relief to hear!

Looking forward to the completion of this project even more now! Keep up the good work! 😊

Hiii I’m a steam deck user and any renpy/itchio game will work as long as it has the exe!

When you download the files, enter steam on desktop mode and select ‘add a non steam game‘ on the bottom left corner navigate to wherever the game folder is located (I put all of them in a folder named “vn’s”) and then look for the game’s exe, make sure you select the windows exe.

Once it’s added to your steam library go back into gaming mode and navigate to the non steam games area in your library, select the game go into properties and the “compatibility” section, afterwards all you’ll need to do is tick “force the use of a specific steam play compatibility tool” then select “proton experimental”

And voilà any window.exe you have you can now run it using steam! This works for any windows exe that I have tried, and it’s also neat being able to start your games in gaming mode too!
