I was at a gamecon the other week and some devs were showing off their game aimed at the younger audience, there was demos setup you can just grab a controller and go.

Like 95% of the kids that came up to the demo pushed the controller aside and just kept touching the monitor. They don't understand KB+M or controller. Only touch. The devs expressions were that of horror and realization that their product is going to crash and burn because they didn't program it to be touch friendly.

So peculiar how we can go from one generation that sucks at computers, next generation is really proficient with it, then the next is garbage tier. Shows how quick technology grows.

Parents....stop letting tablets and phones raise your kids. It's supremely depressing. At least I gained useful skills with computers when I was growing up gaming because I had to learn about archivers and drivers and physical components and routers and port forwarding and all that garbage. What do your kids know? How to touch something? Cool, we have successfully returned to monke

same thing happened with boomers and gen-x with cars, those that didn't pass on their skills and interests to their kids have millenial and zoomer offspring that are mechanically illiterate, and now gen x and millennials were raised on computers and those that didn't pass it on to their kids have zoomer and gen alpha kids that are computer illiterate, that's how it goes

it is really bad shitty for the digital environment though that people are getting so bad with technology, everything is being baby-proofed and cyber security is basically dead despite getting more and more important
