- The character movement is waaaay to slow on walk, i'm getting bored more than worried beceaus i know nothing will happend when i walk the monster does nothing on me. That sayed, walking sim can be interesting thanks to nice environment to see and narrative environment, but here you just see darkness so interest decreas
- No way to regain Energy . At first time i didnt think the energy was linked the the glasses and thought it was link the my capacity to run. But once i understood that i still was using a lot the glasses thinking i will find things to regain my energy bot no. I ended my game with only one mechanics : walk.
- Level design is poor, there is dead ends with no design intention beceaus they take times to reach, thinking this is the way, but when reached there is nothing exepted frustration to make the way back, slowly, with the walk. it could have been cool to put there energy capsule to regain energy for exemple to reward player exploration, but instead you punish his exploration
- I getted killed too easily by the monster when I started running, so i started never run
- When killed you don't know how and why you got killed, no feedback on this and this is frustrating beceaus you don't understand your fault
Pros
- SFX is pretty good, you have a real sensation of walking on different surface and the ambiant atmosphere works
- When the enemy mechanic isn't buggy, it works well and you can feel the pressure
- Fact of only seing white lines of the environment on idle is smart it force you to memorize where you go beceaus when you move you only see he arkness and it play on a risk reward system where the risk is the movement and the reward is the advencement, i really liked it !
Anyway, i think you can be proud of what you have done, i know how hard it is to make and FINISH a game, so even if i pointed bad sides of your game from my opinio, thee is also good side with interesting choiceand so congralutations
