Taking a second to appreciate that intro synth moment, wow. This is a great score that I feel is a refreshing difference from the original. A lot of elements that I didn't know the animal crossing pallete needed, background synths 1:00, flickering effect at 0:52 (wow), I love how it ends too. Very nice harmonic moment at 1:18, along with that progression 1:40. Also the denser approach than the original score, so great work getting the mix to hold up imo. All that, and I feel it really fits the theme, very soothing/tropical. You mentioned upbeat being a challenge, but I think you pull it off. Awesome work!!
