Oh my god, I'm obsessed with this game! Amazing story, choices, and such fun paths! Do you have any advice you could give to someone who's trying to do something similar? I started working on something somewhat along the lines of what you're doing, but also not entirely. It's hard to understand, so if you have any tips and/or are willing to help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it! In the meantime, keep up the amazing work on this game! I just created this itch.io account today, but I've been following "Survive the Neighborhood" for nearly 3 weeks. It's been a hell of a ride so far and I can't wait to see what you do for the future!

Thank you so much!!

My best basic advice is start small. Don't try to do a huge area or complex puzzles straight out of the gate. When I started I just had the house with the first few rooms and slowly expanded. Almost everything you need is in the Quest documentation but don't be afraid to ask questions on the Quest forums! People there are super helpful and kind. :)

Alright. So I took some of your advice, and it was actually quite helpful! I assume this project probably took weeks or months even before you could release the first draft on here, cause I've spent all day and the best I could do is make connected rooms in the house with some descriptions of objects here and there. Regardless, I hope mine is as good as yours. I'm definitely using "Survive the Neighborhood" as a guide because it's everything I want in a text-based adventure game, and more!
