My feedback for Wrong Turn

What the game does well:

The intro sets the tone and setting while also teaching the player the basic actions.

The UI is easy to read. I'm not someone who plays many first person games, but I didn't have any problems understanding what every part of it displays (the item panel, the quest + goal distance, my health + stamina).

The graphics and lighting do well to support the game's setting. Excellent job on doing all of that in a week.

What the game doesn't do well:

Sound effects, no matter how far away I travel from them, I hear them at full volume. Example: Macee got soft locked in the woods because there's an enemy spawner nearby and she can't kill them before more appear. I walked all the way to the destination and could hear 8-10 enemy hits getting louder.

Areas of Opportunity:

The ritual scene is very transparent about things on the 'inside' coming 'out', but I believe you can do more with this. Right now the theme is a plot device and technically doesn't affect the gameplay. My actions remain the same, and the goal is still to defeat all enemies. Perhaps you can find some way to tie the two together?

I hope this feedback helps!

Thanks Daniel, you made some very good points. That was the exact kind of review I was hoping for.
