Art and design on point ! I'm curious of how you did the backtracking effect

The neck is a Godot line2d made our of points with a repeating texture. To make the backtracking effect I delete the topmost point and snap the player to its position

I also spawn rigidbody2ds every couple of points that I link to a points position, that way if you push your own neck it reacts accordingly
