This was a great experience. Such a creative idea told as a hilarious little story. The art and music are absolutely stunning. Awesome little game. Great job!
Haha, this is such a unique game! The animations are absolutely fantastic, and the music is madcap but totally fitting. I liked the "yoshi drums" detail when the neck starts extending.
Unfortunately, the final snail soul escaped the shell and went offscreen so I wasn't able to complete the waves. But I enjoyed myself all the same. Great work!
This was so creative! Stretchy dino vs space snails is definitely not a concept you'd see every day! The visuals look great and the gameplay was a lot of fun!
Really good game! The only problem is that I wasn't able to beat the game since the final golden snail clipped out of bounds where my head couldn't eat it.... Other than that tho, the art, premise, sounds and controls are great!
Wow... This is an amazing game!! This is so creative i love it! Amazing job!
This was extremely creative! I thought the tutorial was well made and I loved how new mechanics (like the doors) were introduced as the game progressed. Kept things fresh! Unfortunately I ran into a bug where I killed the last snailien (love that name btw) on wave four, but it didn't delete the shell I was in or progress to wave five. Otherwise, I really enjoyed my experience. Fantastic job!
The artstyle is so lovely. Despite it being pixelart it actually stands out to me, its really well made. And the gameplay is super fun, the comically long snake coming out of the ufo really got me, and the entire concept of the game is so fun. I am really impressed by this. Great work its a 10/10 for me. Also the music is funny
Liked the art, it is a very interesting concept! I am really bad at the neck part of the game though.
I need to remember to watch the tutorial, or something that shows the game engine, because it took me a while to understand what it was like. I found the snake a little slow, and I couldn't find anything that could increase its speed. It was cool, but the fifth and sixth stages, I don't know, I kind of wanted it to end quickly. It was cool. A different snake game. Oh, I liked the music, I even danced a little as soon as it started playing. Hahaha I loved it.
I really like the creativity and implementation of the concept! The visuals were really nice and I was genuinely impressed that this was a jam game made in only 96 hours!
A very weird game, but in a good way. I want to know how you came up with this idea. The art is also amazing—very fun and polished game.
Glad you enjoyed!
I had always had the idea of an asteroids clone where you enter the asteroids to destroy them, and when i heard the theme this immediatly came to mind (small ship, big asteroids)
On our mood board made a list of small and big things and ccallahantow wrote « dinosaurs » in the big things and I wrote « snail » in the small things
I then proposed my idea from earlier, suggesting to replace the asteroids with snails.
Ccallahantow said that you should play as a diplodocus (a dino with a long neck) in the spaceship
And then I had the idea that you used your neck to enter the shells and not the spaceship, and the game emerged from there :D
I came up with the dialogue and ending on the fly the last day
Great game, I love the novel concept and the art is really nice. Latching onto shells and then having little puzzles is such a great idea and blends arcade shooter and puzzle game really well. You could definitely develop this idea further after the jam!
Very cool and great art with a fun idea. I had a hard time controlling the dino inside the shell though but was still a very fun game
