The game itself looks really fun, but I have seen soo much games with the similar idea outside of this jam that I am not so happy with this fact.

The first one that comes to mind is Upgrade Complete
Well it's a space shooter but apart from that no much "similar idea"
I thought you meant you have seen lots of spaceshooters with the upgrade stacking mechanic I introduced :)
