The diagonal jump isn't reauired to finish the game ;) It is to collect all shiny orbs tho

First

One of the best I played in this jam too ! Art direction is perfectly executed, and I think with some more mecanics you could make this game a solid release !

+1 for the music and that yellow rain coat !

Absolute gorgeous art ! Sad you didnt had time to implement the storm phase, but it was quite a relaxing experience :)

I use Patrick Hand (Google fonts) in most projects :)

Greetings swagshaw! :)

The game currently ends itself after completing level 3, I'm currently working on a bigger release after the jam ends!

Rotating your ship is a key mechanic as it allows you to place turrets to face one direction increasing your fire power, or rockets to increase movement in a specific direction

Yoo, you were right its funny how we implemented the same idea, up to the directional thrusters and the camera zooming out as you collect parts !

Thanks for playing my game :)
The game is supposed to stop at the end of level 3, do you recall the circumstances of your death ? Did your ship parts exloded one by one for example ?

Finally I manage to score 4000+ in a legit way so I wont be discarding any score for now !

I didnt knew Captain Forever and its now definitely on my list to get some inspiration from !
The game area become more zoomed out as you pick ship parts, I messed with the settings multiple times and let it in that current state but its prone to change

I'll definitely lower the brightness of level 2 for you to buy the final release, thanks for your comment :)

Some guy actually got to 6024 say whaaat

Im fixing this asap! But in the mean time, I'll have to delete your high score :(

Hehe I hope we'll see other games by ditto one day

Thanks for playing the game :)

Wow congrats on your highscore! :)

That's odd because the game is supposed to end at the end of level 3 🤔

Thanks for playing the game! :)

The slow starting ship speed is intentional,  you must use reactors ship parts (also your very first part in the game) to move faster, a reactor must be opposed to the direction you move to give you a speed boost

Thanks a lot for your feedback! :)

I honestly though about letting the player speed up the game but didn't find a good way to implement it

Well it's a space shooter but apart from that no much "similar idea"

I thought you meant you have seen lots of spaceshooters with the upgrade stacking mechanic I introduced :)

You're awesome, thanks a lot !

Thanks for your comment ! :)
Could you give me some example of said games ? I'd love to see what can be done to improve my own game !

Loved your visuals as usual ! The game in itself feels a bit slow IMO

Like the game over screen didn't showed up?

Thanks! :)

Thanks a lot :)

Wow thanks for your comment! The secret is to keep cooking 🙂

Thanks for your feedback! :) Balancing is non existing, as I been to day 4 only once during development, and yes the shadow theme is a real drag, I wish I had more time to spotlight the shadow lords

Thanks for your comment! :) I originally put a reset button but though it was too much, plus you can preview/drop ingredients before putting them in the pot

Thanks dude, it reinforce my thoughts on giving this game a proper release! :)

I think you can rate the game on the game page, in "more info", but for this jam only judges can rate games if I understood right

Thanks for the head up! 🙂

Haha yes, I'm still wondering how much potion craft sim will this jam create

Thank you for playing the game 🙏🙂

Thanks! Might have some ideas for a full version 😉

Thanks a lot! 🙏

Thanks :) Wish I had more time to had more depth to the shadow overlords!

You did it! :) Thanks for playing the game!

Ingredients bounce when you reached max ingredients rule

Thanks for playing the game!

I had little time to create the theme and add sounds so I understand it can be a bit boring/repetitive. Random pitch change is applied to every sfx, and ingredients hover/drops are modulated according to the score they give you. The crackling sound of the theme unfortunately only appeared in the webgl build and I didn't had time to fix it :(

I hope I can iterate on this post jam!

Thanks for playing the game!

The point of the game is that there is no such thing as recipe, the goal is to combine whatever ingredients to get as close as the customer request as possible

Thanks for your suggestion! Unfortunately I had to stop development there for the jam, as I went on vacations so no features will be added before the jam ends :(
