I like it, is fairly original!
The only thing I would point is that you can only go forward down the mountain as the snow is covering your back. I might be missing something but there's no reason for going right or left, right?

I had a lot of ideas/mechanics that didn't make it into the one page version that I'll expand on more in the complete version, and one of those was getting different types of resources from different card suits which would give more of a motivation to explore the mountain.
But you're right, in this current version you don't really have any reason to do so other than curiosity as to what the other cards have!
