Thanks for the feedback! I do agree that the level design could've used a little more balance/variety/polish, especially with the placement of the notes. We also tried to get the ball mode to have more vertical movement in the beginning by having the ground be more hilly so it would launch you up into the air, but ultimately playtesting showed that it hindered movement more than helped it and we had to end up scrapping it since we were running low on time.
