The problem with the android version is that I inevitably have to spend a lot of time making it, and even more time dealing with people having trouble installing it. Separating the  installer and archives would potentially make both those problems significantly worse. The question is whether I spend a disproportionate amount of my resources working on an apk and dealing with tech support for a small fraction of my audience. Or, whether I focus my efforts on making new content for majority playing the windows/mac versions.

That said, we have been looking into various solutions, including an a small apk installer and automated downloading of the large image and video archives from a dedicated server. I even had a guy working on it for me before he completely ghosted me. At some point I expect there will be a apk version again, however, it is not my priority right now.
