Black screen is most likely caused by a resolution error.
This is a shot in the dark so it probably wont work, but me and my friend were able to fix this by doing the following...
>Stream your game to a friend (through discord or otherwise)
>Have them guide you where to move your mouse
>Work together to navigate to settings>render>resolution
>Select your resolution
>Click apply
