Yeah that's what I meant with the meta-gamey methods of reducing rep, you have to grind it down basically, feels silly and there's no gameplay reason to steal things more than once. Attacking them  (even if it doesn't stop them) should also be far more serious of a rep hit, if it even does anything.... armored or not, I don't think I'd take to kindly to someone cracking a molotov over me, or throwing a crowbar/knife/hammer/large rock at my head. I also read that erasing their graffiti pisses them off, but they never even made any in my current new game, so there's also RNG aspects to organically reducing rep
