having some problems getting the mac version to work- i got stuck at these instructions: "3. Open the terminal. You will see something that looks like a text file. Next you will need to make sure that the Terminal is looking at the same directory as your TOUCHSTARVED download."

i didn't see the text that was supposed to be in the terminal, but instead the normal text for my computer: "Last login: Sun Sep  8 14:32:09 on ttys000

(my computer name)-MacBook-Air ~ %"

i looked within the files of touchstarved itself to try and find a different terminal type/file, but couldn't find one. i also don't know how to make the terminal look at the same directory as touchstarved. i'm not exactly a computer whizz, so i def need some help with this ^^'

I'm having an issue at this step as well! After typing the text in the terminal, I closed the application and tried opening the game again, as I was instructed. But the game isn't responding on my mac; I don't even get an error message or see a black loading screen, nothing happens.

Maybe I made a mistake at the terminal step, but I don't know  ¯\_(' - ')_/¯ . Were we supposed to press "return" on our keyboard after typing "chmod -R 777 TOUCHSTARVED-SILICON.2.app" in the terminal? Because I did. Though, a different line of text didn't show after I did this, unlike the other times I pressed return after typing something in terminal.

I would appreciate someone who has successfully downloaded the demo on a mac, sharing their knowledge and the steps they took in doing so :) !

maybe you can try dowloading the itch app and launching from there? i mean i did that but it didnt work so i hope they find a solution soon :(

Hey! so i was having a problem as well with opening it and i finally got. After doing some research on how to use terminal, i finally figured out! So once you have the zip, make sure its opened and in your downloads. You're gonna open terminal and the first thing you will type is "cd ~/Downloads". This command worked better for me so hopefully it works for you. Click enter and then type "chmod -R 777 TOUCHSTARVED-INTEL.2.app" and click enter again. Leave terminal and try to reopen the game. From there, you should be able to follow the rest of the instructions with allowing your mac to open the game. I hope this helped!

it didn't work for me :( I have been trying but I just noticed there isn't a ''$'' on my terminal and it looks a little different

Aww I'm sorry, my terminal didn't have the "$" as well so I used my alternative command. Hopefully you can find a way!
