i know that game jams are tough on artists, the visuals seemingly take up most of a jam. the one a friend and i made for this jam.https://deceleris.itch.io/dsa-corporation, the animations alone took somewhere around 24 hours on my part. and i didnt write up a backstory or do cinematics him, luckly i have lots of "free' time.

i think games generally speaking its good to keep the style consistant, instead of pixel art i think that the style had for the other charactors should have been used across the entire project it would have suited the project a lot more and would have given it a distinct look, and wouldnt have the clashes of diferent resolutions that pixel art has.

Your game is impressive, the menu is very well achieved, the controls answered correctly and has a good concept, it could easily be a complete game.
It is true that the different resolutions in the pixels bother if they are seen in detail but I do not think they are a problem for a fast and entertaining experience, thanks for the feedback and I would love to continue knowing more of your projects
