How many total players are you playing against when this happens? If there are too many players, the game will crash at some point. I can't tell you how many players are too many but I can tell you the problem never happens if I keep my computer player count to 5. I can tell you playing against 20 computer players is a guaranteed crash somewhere after about turn 100. This could also vary depending on your hardware. Hope this helps! GL

just 4 players ai. no idea I could even have that many playing. I've only started like 3 or 4 games on it.. I'm not that great on computer stuff although I can downlaod games and etc. but troubleshooting and trying to delete. when I deleted or thought I had, and reloaded it, I was able to pull up onld games, which tells me that files have been left on computer. if those are corrupted somehow... but just frustrated. I am ann old school turn based strategy game player and this game is right up my alley more than any other. any other ideas thanks for the response.
You can delete the data files if you think the problem is in your data. First uninstall EDCE then delete the following directory %AppData%\LocalLow\KBSW. This is on a Windows computer. I can't tell you where those files would be on other types of computers. Reinstall EDCE and you should be fine from there.
