it is really exciting, slowly realizing i can make my own game, as I learn and practice game dev with the Godot engine. It just tickles my heart to imagine that maybe one day my passion project could potentially be someone's favorite game.

if you don't mind my asking, would you have any advice for someone wanting to make a game similar to your own? was there any part of the process that gave you particular difficulty? or any resources you found particularly helpful along the way? thank you again. (:

(I used the wrong email for the first account and made a new one, a rather silly mistake)

Don't overcomplicate your ideas and don't overengineer your solutions, especially if it's one of your first games - that was my main takeaway from this project. Initially I planned to add puzzles, underground levels, a lost civilization, and much more. Had to downscope when I realized I couldn't pull it all off - just too much work. The game still turned out fine, apparently. As for the technical stuff that I had trouble with - I think it's all very much improved in Godot 4

thank you for the advice, i just sent an email, if you're busy don't worry about it, I appreciate your time and advice! (:
