i tried, it just stayed in perfect resonation with it and bounced it back. ended up getting caught between the edge of my paddle and the wall. just ended up doing the dodgeball game instead.
Try to get the ball stuck between your bar and the wall at the perfect time, that'll build speed and make sure the ball goes vertical. At a certain speed the ball will make it past the bot.
