The “Fresh games” section on the homepage is different than recently updated games. Fresh games on the homepage is based on curation so no one automatically shows up there, and there is no specific criteria about updates or when something comes out for it to show up there. It’s more of like a mini-featured games section that cycles through many more games than the proper featured games section above.
As for posting a devlog with a major update, that will mark your game as recently updated and will help it show browse pages that take into account how new something is.
