nice, a cooking game, and also one with a pretty hilarious premise and context.
What I loved:
- loved that you have both yourself and the god's hunger to appease, adds some strategy of - do I feel myself or him first!
- I really loved that when u fail, u get to try your luck to survive by playing a minigame to dodge Zeus' thunderbolts! this is really cool and I think more games should have things like this where you get to fight for survival just before you really lose!
Potential improvements:
Here are some notes I wrote down while I was playing the game, which I think aren't any big issues really, just things that could make the user experience so much better!
- There should be visual indication of what food you've inserted into each facility. especially for the merging table as that's when food recipes get complicated. Putting food on the table doesn't show up, and the table is empty which looks like a bug at first, even though it actually is registered.
- I also think food recipes should be displayed on screen somewhere, eg a book on the floor that the player can move to and a popup appears that says A + B = C, C +D = E. (where the alphabets represent the foods of course). This way it doesn't force people to read and memorize as you progress through the stages.
- Text animation is nice but a little slow. I think it should be 1 click to load the full sentence, and then second click to skip to next dialog, rather than the first click skipping instantly to the next dialog before it has fully loaded the sentence.
Overall, I loved the dialogs and the little bit of story sprinkled throughout, great game!
