Thank you! We really appreciate comments like yours. By the way, the best place to follow for updates will be Twitter.

Hi, I just wanted to say that you should perhaps update your Twitter. The last tweet is from 2023 and coupled with no itch.io updates since the release of the demo in 2022 it makes it seem as if the game has been abandoned 😅 I was actually just about to delete it from my collection, but thankfully decided to take one last look at this comment section 😂

Oops... Sorry, you're right. Very good idea. It's just hard to know what to say in an update that won't spoil the game? >< I mean, we figured posting "wrote 5k more words!" over and over might be a bit boring and redundant... We actually finally decided to adopt a chapter structure like everyone else lol and we were thinking about releasing the routes chapter by chapter so there will be stuff for y'all to do besides wait indefinitely?

Well, that's true 😂 But honestly, even reading “The game is still being worked on!” from the devs is a huge relief for people interested in it. Silence is like, our worst nightmare since so many indie games get dropped out of nowhere because the devs went mia 😅 I would say writing SOMETHING every 3 months would make people feel reassured that the game is still being worked on (at least it would make me reassured). And we can wait a really long time once we know that a game's not abandoned 😂 But if you want to have updates that are a little more interesting, you could write things like: “Started writing chapter 5 of character A's route”, “The first half of chapter 5 of character A's route is done”, “The second half of chapter 5 of character A's route is close to being done”. Or something else if you don't really have routes. If you're still working on things besides writing you could mention them as well without having to actually show them. But seriously, even the most boring and repetitive updates are better than no updates at all 😅

As far as releasing the game in chapters is concerned in my opinion it depends on what you find most comfortable as creators, but some people might be very interested in the idea 😊 You could also choose to release the game by routes if they're not connected (aside from the common route of course).

Anyway, good luck with everything! 😊

Thanks soooo much for your advice! You're right, I guess I was (and possibly my sister, the writer) thinking it's not very encouraging to see posts like "we're still working on the game" so it's better to say nothing instead of that. Okay, thank you!

Thank you again for your advice! We got our Twitter started again. Dividing the game into chapters not only made it easier to report on progress but also gives us a better sense of our progression.

Oh, that's awesome! I'm happy to have been able to help! 😊
