When I ran into that problem, apparently Renpy standard oops issue, I found my only answer was to save frequently and at special points like making a decision as to an action with a character in the game. It was a long time ago with a different game. It worked well with that one so I continue it with all the Renpy games I play. The only thing I need to find now is a way to return to my previous save point when I click a single digit number on the screen by accident which usually happens after I have reached nearly 1000 saves. A couple of times in longer games I was over 2000 saves and clicked on the 9 or 8 trying to advance the save screen and my mouse pointer jumped on me... Talk about AGREVATED!!!
