Yeah that's good thinking imo. And since you've been gone for so long, awareness of your work is at a low point, which makes it even better timing to start something new XD
Depending on the nature of the ideas and planned content, maybe could see if it translates well to the new setting?
(Also if enough people aren't into the MILF angle, could consider just making them younger but still with that body type XD)
I'm not personally into the MILF angle myself due to it seems MILF's are portrayed as having larger assets and being a bit wrinkly alongside usually games with them putting the "mommy" personality into them. (Which is understandable because of the M part of MILF being Mom)
Not to say I haven't ended up like MILF characters but it's been a rarity for me as those previously mention things appear to occur enough to tempt me to consider blacklisting the tag.
I mean, I say MILF but I guess I just mean an older woman with more curves. Mira and Selena in the 2024 have slightly more curvy body types but this was a concept art I drew of such topic with an older magical girl. In this case they were a mom though. (It's almost like the games are starting to reflect my age...)
Not sure if this is exactly what you didn't enjoy.
Selena's from 2023 is too much for me breast size wise as is 2024 while Mira's is fine for me. In the (what I presume to be) slime attack drafts for Hammy the last two (especially the last one) are where breast size is again too much for me. To be extra picky I also don't like the half glasses too as they for me remind me of the Librarian from Monster's Inc.
But hey I know I'm an more for Athletic/Petite characters or all fitting rather than anything too big. Like I'm all for Mira 2023 and Mira in the draft web animation, same for having no problems with all the party characters in Didnapper 2 and also Hasumi from Mission Mermaiden.
However as I said before, this is your project and your choice as to what you choose to do and have inspiration for.....doing something you aren't on board with won't help you with staying motivated, let alone finish it.
The thick glasses was just a meme that no one can tell who she as a Magical Girl with them on.
I'd like a game with older looking Magical Girls too! Like with Mira Co Rescue, just gotta do it myself if I want content that I'd like to see.
