Okay, I thought it over, and- yeah, chase was definitely falling for tj before the thing started affecting him, and I think he got so possessive and obsessed because of the town's influence. Tj clearly didn't reciprocate though... the way he acted when chase kissed him, and all after that... i now see that everyone that happened after chase killed flynn, tj really isn't in love with chase. Chase's obsession with tj is toxic and he's way too messed up because of everything that happened. If tj does end up choosing to be with him (Haven't finished the story yet) he's definitely doing it because of the trauma he went through- this isn't love. Chase is unhealthy obsessed and tj is traumatized so much to the point hes gonna be very easily manipulated, not to mention his already trusting nature. I thought it was a bit bad how things ended up, but now I see it's worse. Its so way worse. It's a sick, toxic unhealthy, trauma based relationship they've formed, and chase definitely isn't good for tj. Tj doesn't love him, and everything he does after what happened its because of their shared trauma.
