I think you really nailed some of the sense of heart in the painting as well. You're definitely doing good at speaking the musical language.
My constructive feedback has mostly to do with the mixing of the midi notes - they are fairly harsh, and this style definitely calls for more dynamics. Of course, this is difficult and time consuming with midi software, so I can appreciate the limitation.
