Pretty sure data does not track across different devices. If you didn't switch devices or accounts by accident, that's really weird, sorry that happened.
no its not because they switched the devices it happend to me too after the update
There's currently a bug the devs are aware of where playing older versions will wipe your data. Unfortunately there's currently no way to recover it.
