Okay, I figured it out. It doesn't help that it's in black and white. One basically throws it into the cup on the left and then in the jar on the right and then repeat the action.
It is hard to tell how much of each it needs though.
Now that there's more than one slime, it's become increasingly difficult to pick one up.
