Runey often said that this will be a late game feature and we're far away from getting anywhere near the end :) So it will probably be years.
Indeed. Our current game version is 0.18. If I remember correctly, we see that there are factions in the game that we have not seen yet, so we'll be waiting for a while.
Considering its 6 years into development, id move that estimate up to close to a decade.
Not that I'm complaining about more content.
