Hey, I saw your post in community! I tried the browser version.

You mentionned an inventory system, dialogue decision, multiple endings, etc.

They're super cool things to learn and implement, however I would try to get solid basics first - control and movement. Max speed is good but movement acceleration is super slow (think you mentionned you're aware), I'd crank it up wayyy higher.

The controls are a little odd. Most people are used to wasd for movement instead of arrows. I think it's okay to use arrows, but in that case, I would avoid mapping anything else to wasd (in this case the credits screen on A, I would avoid).

These are small changes, but I think they would really improve the feel of the game! Otherwise, congrats on submitting your game for the jam! I'm sure you worked hard on it, keep it up.

It's so easy to scope too big or scope-creep during dev - and all excellent points I completely agree with! I totally forgot about WASD and accidentally mapped Achievements to A. This is why I love playtesting to reveal poor design choices early!

Ah, yes! Something to keep in mind for your next game :)

Best is to get someone in a discord call and watch them play without telling them anything...if something doesn't work you'll know right away haha

Not always easy to get playtesters during a jam because of the short window of time tho!
