How is it counter intuitive to not allow AI?

(+2)(-3)

Why restrict a person from using tools available to make the game they wish to make. If you're not good with voice acting, using AI to do it makes sense.

(+2)

Because using AI isn't exactly fair on the people who have created visual and auditory elements themselves.  They can generate something in moments that could take someone ages by hand. If someone doesn't feel adequate in a certain area then there is a lot of people in this community who are offering to help, for example in this jam there was a voice actor with some professional credit to their name.

I agree that AI isn't fair to people who make visuals and auditory elements and I see that for the jam, the restriction is makes sense. I'd still say restricting tech is counterintuitive from the POV of making a video game.
